The NYC Vaccine Mandate for Private Employers Will be Lifted

Earlier today, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that the NYC private employer vaccine mandate will be lifted and become optional on November 1, 2022. However, even without this mandate, employers will still have the flexibility to maintain or enact policies mandating vaccination against COVID-19 as long as they provide for reasonable accommodations and ensure these policies comply with federal, state and local law.
