FTC Bars Nearly All Non-Competes

The FTC has just issued its final rule broadly banning non-competes with limited exceptions.  There will likely be challenges to the enforceability of the rule, which would go into effect 120 days from when it is published in the Federal Register.  We will be looking closely at the final rule and provide further detail in the coming days.
